Consultation on how to raise awareness about problem gambling
In tandem with our aim to raise awareness about problem gambling amongst young people, RIGT is looking at ways of reaching adults. We are launching a consultation about how we can do with greatest impact and cost-effectiveness.
New Chief Executive of GamCare
RIGT welcomes the new Chief Executive of GamCare, Geoffrey Godbold, and very much looks forward to working closely with him. We are already working closely together to begin to develop ideas for next financial year’s funding programme.
Funding innovation in treatment
RIGT has agreed to be a major co-funder of an important pilot of a new service being offered by Gordon House. This will be a trial international referral portal for problem gamblers. Accessed through links on internet gambling company sites, with the support of the Remote Gambling Association, this service is open to problem gamblers from across the world. It offers basic advice about problem gambling, and signposting to local services wherever people are, worldwide.
